The Question is...


is this real photography, or just another snap shot?

i am a huge fan of party photography,

mostly because well...i love the party.

i can sit for hours on both of these photographers websites

gaze at the amazing people, their clothing, their hair

and feel as if i am right there with them

but i also feel like this is something ANYONE can do

photography in many ways is about preparation, creative thinking, and patients

these new wave photographers however throw everything i was taught out the window

i don't like it.

the photographs are eye-catching and appealing YES

but i don't see them as something that is pushing the field of photography further

is anything... it is taking a few steps back.

I selected Slimane to imitate for my portraits sketchbook ideas.

his simplistic, black and white photographs of mostly males are to me really powerful.

i want to be just like him when i grow up

for my own personal photographs i will be using a white background

and photographing black males in the portraits.

the contrast between the two will be in my MIND

amazing, yet simplistic at the same time.
